How to Set up Honda HDS 3.105 with Godiag J2534?

 Has anyone successfully set up Honda HDS 3.105.034 with a Godiag GD101 J2534 cable on Win10? Sharing our customers’ installation experience.

How to Set up Honda HDS 3.105.034 for Godiag GD101?

1. Download and install the driver for the gd101 cable.

2. After installing the driver, be sure to check for updates to the built-in Firmware!

The cable had firmware version 1.8 after purchase and the utility updated it to the latest version 1.14.
Those who say that this cable is buggy probably did not update its built-in firmware, but used the one that came from the store.

3. Install the HDS.

If the car model is before 2017, then use the old HDS.
if it is newer, then use i-HDS.

These are different HDS versions.
Version/year/month/day of release

HDS 3.017.012 — 10/15/28 — for Windows 8 and below
HDS 3.101.019 — 07/16/22 — for Windows 8 and below
HDS 3.102.008 — 02/17/22 — for Windows 10 and above
HDS 3.102.029 — 07/17/17 — for Windows 10 and above
HDS 3.102.051 — 03/18/14 — for Windows 10 and above
HDS 3.102.054 — 03/18/21 — for Windows 10 and above
HDS 3.103.048 — 07/19/03 — for Windows 10 and above
HDS 3.104.024 — 01/21/17 — for Windows 10 and above

 

The antivirus program will kill files HDS 3.105.012 for Windows 10 and above. So decided to try newer version- HDS 3.105.034.

Download HDS 3.105.034 + i-HDS 1.009.001 . There is no password for the archive.

In new versions you will not find the HDS launch icon, there is only the i-HDS launch icon.

If the car model is before 2017, then the old HDS starts, if it is newer, then i-HDS starts.

For example, it is a Honda Accord 2017. Start on i-hds, after connection it’s a regular HDS.

 

Therefore, if you want to run HDS 3.105.034 directly without the new i-HDS interface, then it is launched like this:
C:\GenRad\DiagSystem\Launcher\Launcher.exe /p=1 /c=0

Pros:
– at the moment this is the newest version for January 02, 2024.
– the antivirus in the system does not swear and does not try to kill the program!

Cons:
– the firmware database in this archive is two times smaller than in the HDS 3.105.012.
